ABOUT ME
I'm Peter Covington, editor and founder of GrowthWater Press. I was a secondary teacher in English, Public Speaking, and Theatre for many years, and in many ways, I still think of myself as a teacher. The best moments of that job were when one of my students "got it" and saw the value or the new perspective that lay beyond the grammar or the archaic speech structure I was teaching them, or their character came to life in their mind or on stage. That was truly beautiful and valuable, and I founded GrowthWater as an extension of that desire to lead toward new perspectives and insights without dogmatism. Here, I want to offer the best of new perspectives in reading and encourage communities of discussion, because really the best teacher is one's self. I hope you'll take that journey with me.

Growth Communication as educators and writers, we will regularly offer ideas to you via the newsletter, which at this point we hape to be at least monthly and hopefull more fequently. the best of the newsletter messages will be preserved as "blog" posts here for a limited period of time. the idea being that those new to the site can catch up with the latest issues and see the kinds of things we produce, which may inform signing up (or not) for the newsletter. We also want to develop over time participative communities for discussion, becasue we know that we are not the only people with good ideas. To start, we want to encourage raders to comment on any subject to our email address:\; although we prefer no hate mail. Based on this feedback, over time we would like to develop online discussion groups of various topics, based on reader suggestions. in 2025 will will also open more toparticipation from outside the current organization to writing and participating as potentially published authors or guest dommentators on the website. Look for those opportunities as they arise.
