About Me

My name is Luis Pinelli and I want to share my story with you. I grew up In Astoria, Queens, NY with my brother, 2 older sisters and a single immigrant mother who didnt speak english and miraculously raised 4 children while still putting a roof over our head and food on the table. I did see my father occasionally, and my 2 other sisters that he had in his second marriage. My father was a baseball player in his early years and a hard worker in the trucking business, who taught me from a young age to be strong and tough and how to be an older brother to my little sisters. I grew up playing many sports with my older brother and 2 older cousins who were all tough guys, athletes, trouble makers and brought me along with them everywhere they went.

I loved school and was in honors from grades k-11 and was able to graduate ahead of my class as a junior in highschool. I wished and had plans to play professional baseball using my talent and my fathers connections, but I ended up having a child at the young age of 18 which changed my plans just a bit. I didnt have 100 bucks to my name at the time, I was a college student at John Jay and had no idea how I would provide for my daughter. It didnt take long before I was sitting in front of a recruiter at a Marine Corps Recruiting station signing my life away. I joined the Marine Corps in 2016 and it ended up sculpting me into the man and father I am today, and was the best experience I couldve ever asked for in addition to being one of the toughest times of my life. While in the Marine Corps, I suffered some spine injuries and had 2 spine surgeries in the L5-S1 . This is when my true fitness journey began. My health wasnt looking promising but I had a daughter to raise and an entire future ahead of me so instead of givign up or accepting all the prescribed pain medications, I started a gym recovery routine. It took a little over a year but I managed to fully recover, get in great shape and surprsingly even managed to get hired by a Federal Law Enforcement agency after ending my Military term. When I was about to take off on my new career, and life looked promising, my life came crashing down on me. My only brother, Willie Junior Pinelli, passed away. This was a life turning moment for my entire family and I. I was lost, broken and even contemplated not wanting to continue life with such pain. My daughter was the only thing keeping me from giving up. I was in the darkest of places. I tried all the councelings and therapies but my anger and frustration only grew worse as days, weeks and months went by. I then decided to take all my anger out on the gym, and Ive never looked back. My brother passed away on October 29th of 2017, and since then I have never taken more than 2 days off of the gym in a single week. I quickly knew this was my outlet, my lifesaver, and become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and switched career paths to be a fitness coach. I have never smoked or drank alcohol in my entire life, and my purpose in life is to live not only for me but for my brother as well. Im leading by example for my daughter and have found a passion in helping better other peoples lives through fitness and nutrition. It doesnt matter how amazing or bad your life is going, fitness can make it better. There is no better sign of self love, self respect and appreciation of life than taking care of your health. I am here to help you become the absolute best version of yourself!
